ISO Install vs Image Install

Hello Everyone,

I recently set up Umbrel OS on my Raspberry Pi 4 by executing the installation script on a Linux OS. However, I’ve come across recommendations to use Balena Etcher for downloading and flashing the ISO file to an SD Card instead.

I am contemplating whether to switch to the Balena Etcher method or to stick with the current script installation. I wanted to gather some insights from the community regarding the pros and cons of each method based on your experiences.

Shouldn’t make a huge difference.
From what I understand the main advantage of using the flashed image is that when it mounts and installs umbrelOS, it will do a better job of stuff like mounting your drive. Obviously it is more convenient too.

Given you’re already set-up and everything seems to be working fine, I would say continue with your current installation.
