# umbrelOS version 0.5.4 - end of security support?

Hello Umbrel team,

When do we expect to see the end of life or end of security maintenance and support for umbrelOS version 0.5.4?

I am asking specifically on DIY Debian and Ubuntu installations? Although will be helpful to know the schedule of the other software and hardware as well.

I also wanna know the answer for this

On my old laptop umbrel 0.5.4 work great and I really don’t wanna reinstall all the apps…way too much date to backup.
