# UmbrelOS 2.0 para RP5

Hey José! Yep, 2.0 adds support for moving apps to an external SSD on the Pi 5, so you no longer need those terminal workarounds.

Open the app’s settings, then go to Storage → App storage → Move and choose your SSD. It needs to be formatted as ext4 and stay connected while the app is running. If you need to format it, copy anything important off it first since formatting erases the drive.

Just keep in mind that 2.0 is still in beta, and apps moved to external storage aren’t included in umbrelOS backups. More info here: [External storage | umbrelOS Support](https://umbrel.com/support/storage/external-storage)
