# Umbrel 1.0 not supported

Hello, I’d love to follow a guide on switching from Core to Knots but I can’t right click on Core and see right click options.

I see that I’m on Umbrel 0.5.4. When I try to update to version 1.0 I get a message that says “umbrelOS 1.0 is not yet supported for custom Linux installs: https: //link. umbrel. com/linux-update”

It has been this way for a really long time. Is there anything I can do? Please help

When I go to the URL - [How to update from umbrelOS 0.5 to the latest umbrelOS 1.x on Linux devices - Announcements - Umbrel Community](https://link.umbrel.com/linux-update) I see that I need to have a usb drive big enough for my data. I don’t have a 1 TB usb drive. Looks like my only option is to setup from scratch but I’m not going to do that because my ISP has a 1 TB monthly limit so I will go over my data again if I sync the full node. This sucks.
