Hello
Until today I was connecting to Umbrel without problems but suddenly I can’t access the Umbrel interface anymore, I get a message that “this website cannot be accessed”. I’ve been checking the connections for days, the IP address, MAC, and I don’t know what to look for. Something must have been misconfigured but I can’t find the problem to solve it. I would appreciate if you could guide me on how to solve it. Greetings and thank you.

Hi @Bosco, just to confirm, have you tried scanning your local network for a new IP that your Umbrel might be accessible by? [https://angryip.org/](https://angryip.org/)
Most common cause of this issue is your router changing the IP address

> [@How to set a static IP for your Umbrel server](https://community.umbrel.com/t/how-to-set-a-static-ip-for-your-umbrel-server/845/1):
>
> I see a lot of users having issues connecting to **umbrel.local** and most of them are Windows users.
>
> I will try to put here some simple steps so everybody can try them.
>
> Not having access to your Umbrel doesn’t really means your Umbrel is broken. Means that the PC from where you access it can’t see it in your LAN or in the parameters you configure your LAN.
>
> So could be 4 reasons that maybe your Umbrel is not accessible:
>
> 1. IP assigned. The IP for the Umbrel is not set fix, or was changed by your DHCP router, or is not in the same range of your regular LAN.
> 2. Your computer from where you are accessing, doesn’t know the new IP or couldn’t find the IP related to umbrel.local. Some Windows versions update that information and sometimes simply block it.
> 3. Hardware issues. If your HDD/SSD with data has connection failures, the Umbrel OS will enter into a loop`and cannot be accessible.
> 4. Software issues. Very rare when UmbrelOS is stuck. So in 99% of cases a restart and a good amount of time waiting to come back (re-sync the blocks) will fix it. So be patient and after restart just wait before doing any further investigation.

Here are a few steps you can take to troubleshoot the “This website cannot be accessed” issue:

1. Check Network Connections: Ensure your device is properly connected to the same network as your Umbrel server.
2. Verify IP Address: Confirm that the IP address of the Umbrel device is correct. Try accessing it using the direct IP address rather than the hostname.
3. Restart the Device: Reboot your Umbrel server and any routers or modems to refresh the connection.
4. Check for Firewall Issues: Ensure that no firewall or security settings are blocking the connection to Umbrel.
5. Clear Browser Cache: Sometimes, cached data can interfere with loading the page. Clear your browser’s cache and try again.
6. Use Alternative Devices or Browsers: Try accessing the interface from a different device or browser to rule out any browser-specific issues.
