# Move LND to new disk without closing channels

I have Umbrel running and synced on new machine, Lightning is not installed yet… I want to shut down and re-purpose my old PI, can I move the node without closing the channels? The node is LND.

If this is possible, what files from the app-data/lightning should be copied to the new node? Can I safely copy just the entire directory?
