I have been experimenting with LNbits, setting up wallets, extensions, etc. However when I close the window and re-start the app all of my setup is gone. Is this a bug, or is there a way to save the state where I am working at when I exit?

No is not a bug.
[Seems that you didn’t read the Lnbits guide](http://community.umbrel.com/t/umbrel-lnbits-app-description-and-basic-use/70) that was posted in the Guides section.
There’s a warning there: save the bookmark of the wallet created so can be re-used later.
You can retrieve those created wallets if you save the wallet/userid or dig into lnbits database.
