Is anyone using bitcoin-knots with Electrs?
I’m running these versions and I can’t seem to get things to work. Should I just switch to bitcoin-core?

Heavens no, please don’t use Bitcoin Core. That software allows groups to flood the Bitcoin Network with non-monetary transactions (SPAM) and will burden the network.
The Bitcoin network should be used as a monetary system, as Satoshi Nakamoto envisioned - not as some kind of data cloud network. In fact, this (mis)use is even morally wrong, as some of those spam transactions are filled with CSAM. Running Bitcoin Core as a node operator can even be seen as illegal if you are aware of this and still choose to run Bitcoin Core, meaning you are storing those despicable images on your own node.
As for Electrs: I’m using Sparrow Wallet and is connected to Electrs. So far everything works just fine.
I am a full on newbie, went with windows remote login, Umbrel 1.7.3, 1TB OS NVME, Bitcoin Knots (not anti bitcoin core, but knots seemed more my style), mounted 2nd 2TB NVME for blockchain, 100% sync, Electrs fired right up after install, Datum install, configured a couple nerds on Ocean, core lightning, ride the lightning (core), got everything up and running, lightning payments from Ocean using core lightning via sparrow and ledger external, next task… lock NVME2 mount on reboot. Tried unsuccessfully via one of the community posts, almost got er dialed, weird boot sequence on umbrel 1.7.3 to sort out
