## Wow, about time! 🚀 We’re so thrilled to be launching Umbrel’s very own community forum!! A friendly place to discuss all things Umbrel — feature requests, apps, wikis, how-tos, troubleshooting, tips, development, lightning channel requests — whatever you like! ☂ Sooooo welcome everybody — we’re super excited to have you here! 😃 As a small token of appreciation, every member who replied to our [twitter post](https://twitter.com/getumbrel/status/1387891627922915331) yesterday and signed up has their trust level bumped up from 0 to 1, removing all new member restrictions and unlocking all the core features immediately. They’ve also been rewarded with an exclusive [OG gold badge](https://community.umbrel.com/badges/102/og) for the well-deserved bragging rights. Along with me, you’ll find @lukechilds and @louneskmt as the mods here; familiar faces if you’ve hung around in our [Telegram chat](https://t.me/getumbrel) before. 🙂 Let’s make sure we make this a friendly and welcoming place for everyone by following the [Umbrel Community Guidelines](https://community.umbrel.com/t/umbrel-community-guidelines/39). We use [Discourse’s trust level system](https://blog.discourse.org/2018/06/understanding-discourse-trust-levels/) to grant users more rights over time so they can better help everyone and moderate the community. Here’s how it works: ![Umbrel Community Trust Levels](https://canada1.discourse-cdn.com/flex030/uploads/getumbrel/original/1X/11da13a6df792c815f2a315596b80bac112409f1.jpeg) When we started Umbrel, we never expected such a huge outpouring of love and support from the community. ❤ Over the last few months, our community has grown a lot, and so has its needs. Until now, the discussions have been split between our [Telegram chat](https://t.me/getumbrel), [GitHub](https://github.com/getumbrel/umbrel), [Twitter](https://twitter.com/getumbrel) and [Subreddit](https://www.reddit.com/r/getumbrel), along with several other small communities online — and it became almost impossible to index, search or moderate these discussions, and provide an efficient way for the community to connect and collaborate. We hope this new forum will become **the place** where the entire Umbrel community around the world hangs out, and we’re really excited for see it foster. Someone wise once said — _not your platform, not your community_. ---

Great to be here; what a wonderful time. So glad to be part of our happy few supporting the network and changing the world. Other chains have nodes and similar things. But this founded on altruism. Unstoppable, I see people posting node porn every day. Let’s go! [Next page](https://community.umbrel.com/t/introducing-the-new-umbrel-community-forum/40.md?page=2)
