Hi everyone, new to community and trying to get my node set up. I read through the troubleshooting section and didn’t see an answer to my specific issue.

**Summary**
I followed the Umbrel tutorial and got to [http://umbrel.local/](http://umbrel.local/) and was recording seed phrase. After the 24th word I hit continue and got an error that just said “error” and it would not let me continue. I restarted node then got stuck on the Umbrel screen with the message “Starting Umbrel…” the a message saying that it could not recognize my ssd and to plug it into the other usb 3.0 slot and restart. This was unsuccessful after the restart. So i started from scratch and re-flashed sd card and reformatted the ssd. Same results.

Logged connected via the ssh and ran the debug. Got and got a similar error message: “You have either no external drive connected to your Raspberry Pi or the drive is not being detected.” Debug information below.

Any one have thoughts on a path forward? Thanks for reading.

You have either no external drive connected to your Raspberry Pi or the drive is not being detected.
Please shutdown your Raspberry Pi (‘sudo shutdown’), then plug the SSD into the other USB3 port.
After you’ve finished that, boot your Raspberry Pi back up. If it still still doesn’t work,
you can contact us on Telegram ([t.me/getumbrel](http://t.me/getumbrel)) and share the output of this script.
You can also share these links instead:

I re-flashed sd and reformatted ssd to ex-fat. I was able to connect via umbrel.local and got to dashboard. All things were syncing until i got an external drive disconnected error. Still troubleshooting.
