# How to create a Back Up

Dumb question … but there it is . Where’s the “make a back up” button. ?

The seed phrase you wrote down during first setup will back up all of the on-chain BTC.

If you have established any LN channels, those channels can be backed up in the Umbrel dashboard by going to Lightning -\> then the “…” on the Payment Channels tab -\> Download Channel Backup
