# Help with building an app for Umbrel

I’m struggling to understand how do I communicate with LND through my app. For example, if I wanted the node to open a channel how do I go about it? My app is in Ruby on Rails but any language example would be cool. Thank you!

for a dev your should know … github is the way to go . not here .
