# Having problems installing a second umbrel on the same network

Hi,

I have an umbrel installed under umbrel.local, also using tailscale so I know the IP of the node.

I have installed a second umbrel, reading thru the community pages I understood the second one would be reachable under umbrel2-local but that is not the case, the second one is under umbrel.local and I cannot reach my first one even thru the IP.

Any advise?

I was able to solve the problem.

1. ssh to the first umbrel.
2. update the host name to the new name with the command hostnamectl set-hostname hostname
3. reboot
4. ssh to the second umbrel
5. update the host name to the new name with the command hostnamectl set-hostname hostname
