# Failed to connect external drive

Hello !

I have a problem when installing Umbrel, I can’t get my external hard drive to work, this one is a USB 2.0 HDD;

Tried it:  
Reinstall umbrel on the sd card  
Try different USB ports ( 2.0 and 3.0 )  
Unplug all other usb cables

Here is my hardware:

- Raspberry Pi 4 model B - 8GB, 32 GB SD Card
- WD Elements SE Portable ( [https://www.amazon.fr/Elements-Portable-WDBABV5000ABK-Disque-externe/dp/B004I5TB9E](https://www.amazon.fr/Elements-Portable-WDBABV5000ABK-Disque-externe/dp/B004I5TB9E) )

and to finish the logfile :
