# Bitcoin pruned node and Lightning node

My 1 TB SSD is almost full, so I’m thinking about running my Bitcoin node in pruned mode instead of buying a 2 TB drive. What should I expect to happen to my Lightning-Network node? Will my channels be closed?

The Lightning node keeps working flawlessly, but limited node exploration since txindex is not enabled with pruned node.
