# Bitcoin Node stuck on "starting..." for days

You have the settings.json error

Please follow the steps [here in our Official FAQ Guide](https://community.umbrel.com/t/official-umbrel-troubleshooting-guide-and-faq/9873) under "Resolving “Error: Failed loading settings file/Unable to parse settings file”

This will resolve your issue!

This causes Bitcoin Node application and all dependents applications to not load, after following the steps there it will work!
