# Anyone know what this L402 is in my lightning node?

I did not initiate any payment and I see I have -1 sat it my node.

Haha, -1 sat!? Your Node must be trying out negative interest rates! Maybe it should take out a loan… 😜

I got the same thing on umbrel LND 0.18.0-beta. This was right after the node restart.  
Was it one time for you so far ?  
The scary thing I would say now 1 sat, what is next…

I researched and found that the L402 error occurs in Lightning Network nodes when a payment can’t be processed properly, often due to liquidity issues or incorrect routes. It typically indicates that a connection or channel is unavailable to route the payment.
